Owner & Founder, Sarah Thompson
Sarah is a lifelong pet owner. Currently she is the loving, caring dog owner of Gizmo, 16 and her senior rescue, Bowie, 14. She’s adopted from Argentina and was raised in Minnesota, moved to Illinois and graduated from Illinois State University. The Logan Square Neighborhood of Chicago has been her home for the past 14 years.
Westside Paw Walkers was founded on the desire to take great care of four legged family members. Sarah is a huge advocate of senior animal rescue, is very experienced with taking care of senior dogs and cats, pigs and chickens and is comfortable administering medication. If you are looking for pet care services that go above and beyond, Westside Paw Walkers will be happy to provide those services to you.
Dan Hoeck - Dog Walker / Pet Sitter - Logan Square
My name is Dan. I reside in the Logan Square area in Chicago and love dogs. There has not been a time in my life when dogs were not an integral part of that. Over the years, friends and family have entrusted me to take care of their pups with walks, sitting, and around the clock care. This passion has now grown into a more professional role. Over the past year, I have gained more formal expertise and experience in walking, sitting, and boarding dogs. With this work I have developed relationships with dog owners,
provided coordinated care for both dog and owner while they are apart and gained extensive knowledge about dog behavior, and their overall needs. Hi, I'm Lena! I'm a recent college graduate, dog lover, and lifelong pet owner.
I started walking dogs when I was in college on the East Coast, and I didn't want to stop when I moved back to the midwest! I love connecting with animals and people in my community, getting outside, and being part of a team dedicated to keeping dogs happy and healthy!
In my photo, I'm posing with Brody, a 14 year old (mostly) hairless dog who I walked every day for two years! His favorite activities were climbing and smelling garbage, and his best friend was his owner's pet parakeet. I can't wait to get to know your dog and their unique personality!
It can be hard to get good photos of an excited dog, so I make it a fun challenge for myself to get the best pictures I can on every walk! Between that and written updates, I hope my care and love of your dogs shines through with every visit!

Osiyo, I’m Gage! I live on the Westside of Chicago in the Garfield Park neighborhood and I love to call Chicago home. Growing up as a ranch hand in Oklahoma exposed me to the many challenges and joys of pets and animals. Having been raised around dogs from such an early age taught me the importance of caring for our canine family and the true gratification of pet companionship.
